Anzac Day




“Today I have been teaching my Room 10 buddy Sifa these netbook skills - how to open a doc, how to find a picture from google, how to type a sentence and change size, colour and fonts, and how to post to a blog.”









ANZAC DAY

1. What does ANZAC stand for? Australia New Zealand Army Corp.

2. Why do we remember ANZAC day? For all the soldiers who died.

3. When is ANZAC Day?25 of April.

4. What do people do on ANZAC day? They remember them by wearing a poppy.

5. What is a poppy? It is a red flower that represents the ANZACS.

Cycle Safety!


Cycle Safety with Bigfoot Adventures!

What do you need to do to check the safety of your bike?

  • That your brakes work.
  • Your seat needs to be tight.
  • Enough air in your tyres.
  • Check that your gears work.


What do you need to wear while riding your bike?

  •  Covered shoes.
  • Helmet.
  • Shorts .
  •  Bright t-shirt.

What do you need to do, by law, when riding a bike?

  •  a light behind the seat. (reflector)
  • Wear a helmet.
  • Two brakes.

Helmet safety: What do you need to look for?

  • Check that the strap clicks.
  •  Check that it is the right size.
  •  Make sure helmet is in good condition.
