How to make a Tapa Cloth

Sketching Shells

Firstly, we had to sketch some shells with a pencil. We sketched the outside and the main lines on the inside of the shells.   

Transferring Design

Secondly, we transferred it to cardboard.  Then we used our pencil to draw the border and the shell. We went over the lines with black vivid.

Scrunching the Cardboard

Next, we scrunched the cardboard almost 30 times.  When we had finished the

paper felt like a smooth cloth.

Adding colour

Finally, we started adding colour to our tapa cloth. We used black and brown pastels.
